To ensure its successor carries forward this rich heritage, our engineering teams spent over 5 years developing the new S80 control system before its launch. Following three years of successful field deployments and shipments worldwide, we have reached a stage where the transition period is entering its final phase.
At the heart of the new Hawk, Eagle, Falcon, and Raptor series is a fundamental shift in architecture. The hardware has been completely modernized, replacing legacy analog components with cutting-edge digital infrastructure. Paired with a brand-new, intuitive software environment, these machines deliver higher speeds and unmatched accuracy on the production floor. Furthermore, the S80 generation features a vastly simplified maintenance design for our customers and advanced diagnostics for service engineers.
While our long-term roadmap points toward a complete transition to the S80 control system, we believe in giving our partners full flexibility during this evolutionary phase. Currently, Schmoll continues to offer machines with both the S50 and S80 systems, allowing customers to choose the setup that best fits their ongoing production needs. However, the moment is not far off when the S80 system will completely replace the S50 generation in our commercial offers. No matter which generation you operate, Schmoll is striving for full, long-term service and spare parts support for all machines ever delivered.
The new lineup comes fully integrated with all of Schmoll’s latest technological highlights, including Automatic Collet Cleaning (ACC), Back-drilling 4.0, and many more.
