On 26 June 2026, the Schmoll team came together for a very special summer celebration — the first gathering ever held inside our new headquarters. Although the building is still under construction, its first section, due to be completed by the end of this summer, offered the perfect backdrop for an evening dedicated to both what we have built together and what lies ahead.
For many colleagues, it was the first opportunity to step inside the new factory and experience it from within. Walking through the spaces where we will soon be working, everyone could quite literally catch a glimpse of Schmoll's future. With the first part of the new headquarters set to be ready by the end of this summer, the sense of anticipation was easy to feel throughout the evening.
The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, carried by live music from a band that means something special to us: one of our own employees plays in it as a hobby, giving the evening a personal note that no outside act could have matched.
Three speakers marked the occasion. The Mayor of Rödermark, Jörg Rotter, addressed the gathering and underlined the significance of Schmoll's investment in the town and its role as a local employer. Thomas Kunz spoke on behalf of the company, thanking the team for their commitment and looking ahead to the opportunities the new site will bring. And Markus Krause, head of the Betriebsrat (works council), shared a few words on behalf of the workforce, celebrating the milestone reached together.
It was an evening that captured the spirit of Schmoll: proud of how far we've come, and excited about where we're headed.
