Pressure Foot Insert Switch (PFIS)
Schmoll- Maschinen provides for precise drilling, especially with small drills, an adjustable pressure foot insert switch. That pressure foot can be used to prevent burrs when drilling micro holes. Depending on which version is installed, a pressure foot with two or three different inserts is available. All inserts come with a size between 2 mm and 8 mm.
Online Accuracy Check (OAC)
The Online Accuracy Check is a further development of the established technique of contact drilling. OAC will automatically run an internal audit program, which will measure the offset between the actual spindle position (drill or router) and the host system (prisma). This offset compensation will be considered during next program execution.
Depth drilling with contact
The depth drilling is using the contact function together with the 2nd measuring system of the Z-axis as it is used e.g. for the blind hole drilling. The accuracy of that function is + / - 12 microns. Other features like up to 1000 strokes/min are still possible. For non-conductive surfaces, the 2nd measurement system takes over the task of the contact between the surface and the tool. Thus, even materials e.g. Glass, is treated securely.
Depth routing with contact
The depth routing is using the contact function together with the 2nd measuring system for a controlled depth routing. The accuracy of that function is +/- 15 microns. The function can use the contact with the surface as well as with an inner layer. Especially the mapping function is supported by the 2nd measuring system perfectly.
Automation
For all machines from Schmoll Maschinen loaders are available. Each system is designed for up to 20 panels. All systems are allowing an individual loading and unloading during production. Depending on the processing time for the panel an automated solution is able to run a complete shift without additional handling.
Mushroom-tensioning system for panels
For a secure positioning of the panel on the table during production, Schmoll Maschinen offers a clamping system which with 6 mushrooms in addition to the contact panel clamp system.
That option can also be used for pinless plates. Due to its high clamping power, this system is particularly suitable for routing, too.
Tool chain
In addition to the tool cartridge system Schmoll Maschinen also offers a tool chain. These systems are characterized by a large number of tools for a flexible production. E.g. machines with one spindle, a tool chain with a capacity up to 2600 tools are used. For machines with two separate spindles a tool chain up to 3300 tools is possible. For larger machines, tool chains with a total of 6200 tools are available.
One advantage of this tool chain is the loading and unloading during production.
CCD technology
For all machines of the MX and MXY series a camera systems (CCD technology) is available. The system detects offset, shringkage or stratch value as well as rotation to correct drilling or routing part programs using a CCD camera.
